Take a few minutes to write a haiku or two (3 lines--5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 again). It's a great way to take a break from the quarantine blues or work, stretch creative muscles, and you can even write quarantine-themed ones. Here are some of mine. I'll be back later today with The Book Beat!
My quarantine clothes Soft, warm sweats and graphic tees For days and nights...bliss.
I adore my books
Spines, pages, people, words, worlds
That new book smell...ah.
My most hated chore
Emptying the dishwasher
Boredom on repeat.
Mom! Mommy! Mom! Mom! Annoyed sounds of quarantine, Whine! Wine! Need more wine!
